    • Led the AL in steals (70) and in triples (13) in 1975
    • Batted .284 in 155 games
  • 1976 Highlights:
    • Traded to the New York Yankees before the 1976 season and was instrumental in the Yankees' first AL East title
    • Batted .312 with 31 doubles and 95 runs scored
    • Made the AL All Star team and was 1 for 2 in the game
    • Finished third behind Thurman Munson and George Brett in AL MVP voting
    • Batted .348 (8 for 23) with five runs scored in the American League Championship Series
