1976 Kellogg's #17 - Ron LeFlore

  • What did he do to deserve a 1976 Kellogg's card?
    • The Tigers needed a representative for this set.
    • The story of Ron's rise from prison to the major leagues was a good one.
  • 1976 Highlights:
    • Had a 30-game hitting streak.
    • Batted .316 with 58 stolen bases and 93 runs scored
    • Made the 1976 AL All Star team - he started in left field and batted leadoff. Ron singled and struck out in the game.
    • Had surgery for a ruptured tendon in his knee on September 12 and missed the rest of the season
