Morris spent most of the 1975 season with the Angels except for a 13-game stint with AAA Salt Lake City. Nettles batted .231 in 112 games. He stole 22 bases and was caught 15 times. After the 1975 season Morris was traded with Jim Spencer to the Chicago White Sox for Steve Dunning and Bill Melton.
The White Sox assigned Nettles to AAA Iowa. He batted .190 in 48 games for Iowa. Morris moved on to AAA Toledo (Cleveland Indians organization) and batted .254 in 65 games. That was it for Nettles' baseball career.
