- What did he do to deserve a 1976 Kellogg's card?
- Steve was the ace of the Kansas City staff for a few years
- He went 18-12 with a 3.06 ERA in 1975
- Allowed one run in two innings of work in the 1975 All Star Game
- Pitched two no-hitters in his career --- one on April 27, 1973 and another on June 19, 1974
- 1976 Highlights:
- Started the season on the disabled list
- Had a 3-3 record with a 4.40 ERA in 13 starts
- Did not pitch after July 6 due to a rotator cuff tear that required surgery (gotta love those newspaper ads!)
I'm going to make an attempt to collect as many baseball cards as possible from 1976. I was 9 when the 1976 Topps baseball cards came out. I have most of those cards, but I'd like to expand and get the other cards from this great year.
