- What did he do to deserve a 1976 Kellogg's card?
- Vida had a good year in 1975 -- he was 22-11 with a 3.01 ERA
- Started the 1975 All Star Game -- allowed back-to-back solo HRs to Jimmy Wynn and Steve Garvey. Allowed two runs in two innings.
- Had his third (and final) 20-win season in 1975
- 1976 Highlights:
- Had an even better year in 1976 -- he didn't win as many games, but most of his other stats were better
- In 37 starts he was 18-13 with a 2.35 ERA
- Was sold to the New York Yankees on June 15 for $1.5 million, but the sale was voided by Commissioner Bowie Kuhn.
I'm going to make an attempt to collect as many baseball cards as possible from 1976. I was 9 when the 1976 Topps baseball cards came out. I have most of those cards, but I'd like to expand and get the other cards from this great year.
