- What did he do to deserve a 1976 Kellogg's card?
- Need we ask?
- Bench batted .283 with 28 HR and 110 RBI in 1975
- Made his 8th straight NL All Star team in 1975 (1 for 4 with one RBI)
- Finished fourth in NL MVP voting in 1975
- Won his 8th straight Gold Glove award in 1975
- 1976 Highlights:
- Had his first off year, batting .234 with 16 HR and 74 RBI
- Was still the NL All Star catcher (went 1 for 2 in the game)
- Won his 9th straight Gold Glove
- Batted .333 (4 for 12) in the National League Championship Series
- Batted .533 (8 for 15) with 2 HR in the World Series and was named the World Series MVP
I'm going to make an attempt to collect as many baseball cards as possible from 1976. I was 9 when the 1976 Topps baseball cards came out. I have most of those cards, but I'd like to expand and get the other cards from this great year.
