I'm going to make an attempt to collect as many baseball cards as possible from 1976. I was 9 when the 1976 Topps baseball cards came out. I have most of those cards, but I'd like to expand and get the other cards from this great year.

1976 Topps - Nominations for Card of the Year
Leave any suggestions for which cards to include in the comments section. :)
Lou Brock is an early front runner. One if the best cards of any year, ever.
ReplyDeleteWe all know Johnny Bench is going to win.
ReplyDeleteOscar Gamble's Traded card has got to be in the Top 3.
ReplyDelete3 great cards already mentioned. Mike Marshall has a great 76 Topps card and I have always been partial to the Rod Carew and Rose cards as well.
ReplyDeleteSome other greats (and you can see how my taste runs): Aaron RB, Reuss, Lynn, Concepcion, Bando, Parker, Sanguillen, Yaz, Cuellar, Horton, Lolich, Palmer, Schmidt, E. Rodriguez, B. Williams, Fosse, Oliver and that awesome Bevacqua bubble gum card!
Let's not forget those TSN All-Time Great cards too!
All in all, Bench is my favorite of the set with Lynn being a close 2nd.
76 was a great year.
I like #90, Sal Bando
