I'm going to make an attempt to collect as many baseball cards as possible from 1976. I was 9 when the 1976 Topps baseball cards came out. I have most of those cards, but I'd like to expand and get the other cards from this great year.
I would assume that you mean off the top of my head without looking it up… I think there are 24 guys in the club and I’ll start with the first one (who I didn’t realize was in there til yesterday) and that is Smilin’ Mickey Welch… Beyond him there is Randy Johnson, Early Wynn, Tom Glavine, Steve Carlton, Warren Spahn, Cy Young, Greg Maddux, Pud Galvin, Kid Nichols, Grover Cleveland Alexander, Roger Clemens, Christy Mathewson, Walter Johnson, Gaylord Perry, Old Hoss Radbourn, Phil Niekro, Nolan Ryan, Don Sutton and Eddie Plank… I am pretty sure I am forgetting a few, I hope I didn’t forget anyone who played during my lifetime…
I had to look it up, it was driving me nuts... I guess I forgot a few... But I can honestly say I was never a big fan of the Troy Trojans or the Worchester Ruby Legs so I don't feel too bad about forgetting them... I know it was well over 100 years ago, but 70 starts, 68 complete games, 10 shutouts and 53 wins is damn impressive... I wont forget him again!
